Hi,

Optimizing websites for Google is a much discussed topic. However, with the latest search engine, Bing charting up the popularity charts... I guess its time to make efforts to optimizing for Bing as well.

But how does one optimize websites for Bing? Does anyone know? I dont think Microsoft has released any formal guidelines..

So far I see whatever was optimized for Google works for Bing. IMO

Have a great day

hmmm... that's what I'm thinking too, since they said that its a decision search engine.. so they probably rank those sites that are more relevant to the search query.. i guess your site should be an authority sites already..

so they love old sites, just like old times..

i don't agree with you as I also optimize my website for Google but do not get any benefit from other search engines.

can you mention such seo activities which works for all the search engines to rank your website well.

I'd like to know this too. I have 120 links in Google but 0 in MSN/Bing. What am I missing?

I have to agree with this. Google has a more strict policy and anything you optimized for google will be applicable to the rest search engines.

If you check out for any keyword in google and in bing ,you will find the same search result positions of the sites.it means that the optimization of bing is not very different then google.

My sites are doing very well in Bing vs Google. Not sure why, but I'd say continue to optimize for Google and Bing will be fine.

My name is Frank and I have just optimized my website for Google. I just want to know - is there any other way to optimize for Bing to get good rankings.

Please comment.

Thanks

Bing has recently been launched by Microsoft and I think it's algo is completely different from that of MSN Algo. I think we should follow a wait and watch policy for this purpose. Just try to figure out the trend of bing.

Here’s an article that I found interesting, comparing Bing and Google using the search results for a particular keyword.

If you want to rank higher on Bing:-

Make your domain age increase
Try to acquire links from pages with your keywords in the title tag
