Is there any place for directory submission in SEO nowadays??. As more and more people are moving to blogs and social bookmarking.

You can still submit your site to directories. Just choose the ones with good reputation and have high PR and traffic. Most directories these days are dead.

Yeah i do agree that most people are moving to blog and social bookmarking. I guess there is still exsisting directory in SEO. I hope you can find what your looking, Good luck.

Still there is place of directory submission in SEO but that is also true that most of the people are using blogs sand social bookmarking nowadays.

blog and social bookmarking is in our hand. we can update it regularly unlike directory submission. its totally depend upon approval which almost take several months, which is bit boring.

Yes it is, it takes time to be approved but its still helpful, submit to a high PR Directory site.

Yea its quite necessary as we can say directory submission is an key we can say for an site and its the base to built an site stronger, and it is helpful for generating an good backlinks for an site. Normally keyword submission is also an important thing we can say, as it is helpful for giving an good ranking for any particular keyword.

Do not ignore directories. It still effective for getting back links. Many high page rank directories are there they approve instantly. And give you an effective result.

Its still big as well as Blog Commenting. But stick with the same Niche.
It looks better if you are with sites close to your niche than being all around the board.

No my friend directory submission is not dead yet, because it is always doing a vital role to increase PR of your site. I am doing directories for a while and had a good response from it.
