How do you get in DMOZ?

Ive tried several times to add diffferent sites to DMoz, but i never made it, one example that ive tried is this site:

Clases y cursos en Guadalajara

I have a menthor who actually had great results when he added a site to Dmoz and also Yahoo directory, but the second one is too expensive.. and Dmoz acts really slow.

Any tips other how actually made it in DMoz?

Could you please tell what could be the reason why my violin site http://violinwizard.com do not come up in Dmoz despite repeated submissions? My site is page ranked 2 and have been submitted correct under musical instruments.

6. Look at your site and imagine that there are no ads and no links just content. Now if the content is unique, can not be found somewhere else, and can stand on its own then you will most likely get added just be a patient!

7. As an editor I am tasked with finding sites that have unique content that I can add to my category. So if you have great content the editors will find you.

I have read in various threads about people emailing the editor of the dmoz category they are trying to get listed in... The category I am interested in is http://www.dmoz.org/Recreation/Travel/L ... rectories/ and like many others I have lost count of how long I have been waiting. If anyone knows how to get in touch with editors that would be good!

Go to the category you are trying to get listed in and go to the bottom of the page, there you will find the category editors , click on their name to bring up another page which you can email them.

Good luck i followed all the suggestions for getting listed and still never got anywhere.

DMOZ free but not easy...tough to get listed. I have waited for almost 6 month for my classified website http://www.adaniaga.com to get listed and found nothing.

I keep trying to get into it through both ways as a moderator and as a company, but one of my competitors (Chicago Limousine Service) continuously blocks me. :twisted:

Here is how to submit your blog to DMOZ

-Go to DMOZ.org and proceed to the category that you want to add your blog to.
-Once inside the category, click the Suggest URL link.
-Enter your blog url, blog title, blog description and email address as required.
-Enter the captcha and click Submit button.
-That’s it, that was easy.
-… Pray and WAIT (this is the hard part).

It is possible to get onto DMOZ, however could take 6 - 12 months. Some categories easier than others, however is possible to hassle them too much, give them time and will get listed.
