Yes.Its true to not to submit your site to Google every now and them.Just submit it once and leave it...You will get better results if Google crawlers crawl your site of their own..

You need submit to google not more than once. The most important thing is to add backlinks to your site and google bot will crawl your site.

I think "links" means backlinks, well, instead of focusing to google submission why don't you link build your site. Most of the high PR site are free. It will be easily to crawl your site by google.

Once - if that. Create some backlinks to get your site indexed - once indexed do NOT carry on submitting or you could get flagged for spam.

If you have changes, change your sitemap and Google will probably recrawl. From memory, in the Google Webmaster tools, it does now give you a facility to flag a website for recrawling (but it states that you can only use this occasionally - it does not say how often).

You do not need to submit your site to Google. Google will find you, especially if you are submitting your site URL on a high-traffic forum/blog/social network with do follow links. Sites, such as this one, get crawled regularly.

And that is the key to resubmitting. Instead of re-indexing your site yourself, and submitting the site to the search engine, write original content regularly. Google will adjust. If you put something decent up every day, Google will visit you more often. The more relevant you make Google think you are through good content, the more relevant Google will help you become.

Submitting once should be fine as has been said in the previous posts. If you setup a sitemap in your Google webmaster tools, then Google should be able to see your updates and new pages/posts and come to your website automatically.
