Hi everyone,

Just gotten contradictory advice on linkbuilding for Google opt.

One guy said direct all links to homepage

Another guy said I should links back to the most relevant page in the website, not necc homepage.

Help! Which one is right?

Take them both, build as good and as many as you can both on your homepage and inner pages. There is success in numbers.

Yeah you want to target both. Have a common keyword in the anchor text for home page and sub pages. For example you could use a place name. So the home page could be, musical instruments London and sub pages could be guitar London.

If you are targeting different keyword in different page, then you have to link pages for that specific keyword.

Give the same importance to most parts of your site, either it is a home page or subpages.

Its not how many links that you make but the quality of the links must be considered.

Back links to your home page and other pages, both are important but you should not have back lniks to pages like Login, Register..

You can start by writing a very informative and quality articles on his blog, so other blog owners in the same niche as you link back to your post. You can also start a valuable back link by researching on the Internet blogs that I see in your niche, which has a tremendous work.

Both home page and inner pages must be given same priority, try to target different keywords on both homepage and inner pages, then both the pages will rank for different keywords and will also thereby increase your website popularity in search engines, the no. of visitors will also increase.

You can target both homepage and the other pages for better rankings but of course give more priority to your homepage.

You can build links in both homepage and other pages of your site.

It's better for most pages to link to homepage.
