As SEO can be done in both ways, both the links have a weight. Here is an article for no follow links importance : http://thejigsawseo.in/blog/are-nofollo ... mportance/

I prefer do follow because Google consider do follow links as external links to our website as considered and countable links.

All regular links are do follow links whereas any link with a no follow tag in it makes it a no follow link and google doesn't crawl it.

Even though, it's a good practice to use Nofollow link attribute to those link, where you don't want to pass link-juice. Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. ... If a webmaster is linking back to you with this link both Search Engine and Humans will be able to follow you.

Nofollow and Dofollow is an HTML attributes.

NOfollow links do not allow search engine bots to follow link. This links does not pass on link juice. Only humans will be able to follow these links.

An example of Nofollow Link:
<a href=”http://www.google.com/” rel=”nofollow”>Google</a>

Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them. They give us link juice and backlink. Both search engines and humans will be able to follow these links.

An example of Dofollow Link:
<a href=”http://www.google.com/”>Google</a>

By default all the hyperlinks are Dofollow.
