How to know what KW easy or difficult?
Now I am using Ahrefs to test, I usually choose KW 0 ~ 10 to do. As an example, I'm writing a tutorial "How To Fix Fix Memory Management Error In Windows 10", you can visit http://howtoinstallwindows10.com/fix-me ... indows-10/

How long will it take me to get to the top 10 google?

It all comes to common sense and experience. But keyword planner gives competition level, so you can use that. Its between 0-1.
Then when you search some keywords, the results appears, analyze seo of that competitors, then you will get its easy or difficult. Then think how can we beat those competitors.

List down all your keywords and check the competition of all the keywords in the Google Adwords.

If it is "High" competition then the keyword is difficult to rank. But, if the competition is low, that means the keyword will be easy to rank.

Target low competitive keyword first and then move to the high competition one.
