Content ( content on your site) has nothing to do with Page rank , content has relevancy in SERPs not page rank. Page rank is influenced by quality back links and there are a few factors related to 'links' again which influence Page rank.

Lawrence Page himself outlines the following potential influencing factors in his patent specifications for PageRank:( all related to links)
Visibility of a link
Position of a link within a document
Distance between web pages
Importance of a linking page

Just remember that PR is the last thing in the google algorithm that determines your ranking.In order to get a PR5 you will need wither alot of IBL from PR5 or even more from PR 4 or simple 1 link from a PR6 pointing to you.
