Google Ranking on Main Page vs. Other Pages

This has been common with this past PR update.

Some homepages are getting less PR than the landing pages or sub-directories.

I also have a directory that got a higher PR than forum homepage which updates and changes regularly not like the directory which hardly ever changes. They both offer RSS feeds though, so that may be a factor. On the same site I have a WP blog that got a higher PR than the site homepage.

Same here.
Pages with PR did not change but new pages (with no PR) got PRs.

The same happen to me.
I have lots of pages that haven't been changed for more than a year, and their PR raised twice. But the main page which I have to update content more often PR was reduced.
