Anchor Text is basically the text that is used to link to a specific website. You can usually find it in articles highlighted in blue or underlined.

Look at the example below:

"I find SEO fascinating and I like how moz targets popular questions"

In this case highlighted "moz" is an anchor text which links to another website or page on your own website.

It's useful for SEO when trying to rank for specific keyword, for example "organic baby wipes". Then you produce content to be published on (e.g. Mothers Blog) explaining why "organic baby wipes" are important and include a link within the content with "organic baby wipes" anchor text that links back to your own website.
Hope my answer will help you :D

If we use it correctly, we can get higher rank on Google for the long term. If we use it without good anchor text strategy, we might notice our organic search traffic decreasing overnight.Texts that link to another place or source on the Web are anchor texts. just we say hyperlink. For example, in the sentence essaydone gives an overview of anchor texts," essaydone is the anchor text. we can create it by using HTML codes.

Anchor text is the clickable text in a hyperlink. SEO best practices dictate that anchor text be relevant to the page you're linking to, rather than generic text. The blue, underlined anchor text is the most common as it is the web standard, although it is possible to change the color and underlining through html code. The keywords in anchor text are one of the many signals search engines use to determine the topic of a web page.

Anchor text is the clickable text referred to as link. Search engine optimization satisfactory practices dictate that anchor textual content is applicable to the page you're linking to, in preference to regularly occurring textual content. The blue, underlined anchor text is the most not unusual as it's miles the internet popular, even though it is viable to alternate the coloration and underlining thru HTML code.
