Finally, after months of SEO, our website has reached the front page of Google. We were not recognised in the top 800 sites of the two most popular searches, but suddenly we have jumped, not progressed to the top. It is as if Google has flicked on a switch. We have stopped submitting the site using submission programs about 6/8 weeks ago, something that Google may frown upon, so could it be that? We have also been accepted in The Open Directory Project (dmoz), so this more likely to be the reason. I submitted the site to the directory back in October 2006, so it does take a considerable time, so please don't give up hope. :D
If anyone can offer more suggestions, then it may help all of us! Keep trying guys, it can be done! Now we have to find a way of staying there!

Thank you Montux for your reply. The site and domain name is at least six years old, but is it possible that we have been stuck in a sandbox for other reasons, such as using submission programs?
