My homepage has been stuck on PR2 for ages... I've done as much as I can with content and alt tags etc and tried hard to build a good links page... Bizarrely, my links page has gone up to PR4 and my terms of website use page - which has the worst content and is not important to the site's use - is also PR4... other pages seemed to be coming up to PR4 before I made some significant changes - see below on this.
Can anyone explain why the homepage is stuck on PR2??
I have recently changed a lot of my HTML filenames to contain better keywords like planning-development-assessments.html (previously devsite.html), for instance. This has scrubbed out all the PR's for the new pages and its now a few weeks and they haven't come back... will this take long? Does everyone feel that the new filenames will help??
One thought crossed my mind... the page I am writing this on is PR3 and the message list on the forum page is PR0 - does representation in a forum count against you or for you?? I thought links to the submit express site would help..
Thanks to all...
PETER

When will the next update be? Have you any idea why the homepage is a lower PR than other pages? PETER
