Couple of months, a team of Google was working on a project that’s name is “Google Caffeine.” The main aim of Google Caffeine is to make Google search results more accurate, indexing speed, comprehensiveness and many other things.

Based on Matt Cutts,

"Caffeine is a fundamental re-architecting of how our indexing system works," "It's larger than a revamp. It's more along the lines of a rewrite. And it's really great. It gives us a lot more flexibility, a lot more power. The ability to index more documents. Indexing speeds - that is, how quickly you can put a document through our indexing system and make it searchable - is much much better."

At this point, even if we didn't yet using the beta, the algorithm or the process of indexing in Caffeine will surely looks different from the current one in terms of speed, accuracy, index size and temporal relevancy.

Caffeine is the much-awaited update from Google, and this also means that there will be so much update on how to do SEO for Google more effectively. Expect Caffeine to be rolled out after the holidays, as Matt Cutts had said.

I guess after official introducing Google Caffeine we'll see a tremendous shift in page ranking. But I don't know in what way and how it will influence all the SEO work done before.

Also to optimize your websites for Google Caffeine you should give more consideration to your website speed that how fast your pages load as this would be the main factor to rank your websites well in SERPS.

Does it means that sites will now be ranked in th Google SERPs based on their page load time?
