We are wondering if utilizing + names in our file names will prevent google from indexing our website:

submit, domain name containing 3 or more dasheds will NOT necessarily get penalized, but the site will be open for more scrutiny. If you don't do anything wrong, it's not a big deal. Actually, you can find a lot of examples on google.

Using keywords in file names does not have a big value these days. I would suggest staying away from long file names that have over 3 keywords. That may look a little spammy. I know that if domain names have over 3 dashes they get penalized, but I have not heard if Google is penalizing long file names. However, it's better to be safe than sorry. Since the keywords in file names have very little value, I would instead put more effors in your site content, Title tags and link popularity.

Well said, good advice. Too much url keyword stuffing can be considered spam.
