“Bad Neighborhoods” is how Google refers to questionable sites that constantly link to other harmful sites. While normally link exchanges are good idea, constantly linking to sites, no matter what their reputation, in order to boost traffic will quickly get a site in trouble.

Just like in natural world, if you have neighbor who had bad attitudes and your are their pals, other people may think you are the same with them. The same as getting linked from crappy sites, you may labeled as the same.

Any sites that intend to trick people, like MFA sites or any made for affiliates may considered bad neighbors. It is essential to investigate the sites further before making connections to avoid being flagged too.

A good example of a bad neighborhood is a link farm, where you see a site with a bunch of links on it for no purpose, but to have links; you wouldn't want to link to it all, at your discretion, but sometime you can get linked to some of the bad neighborhoods, just don't link back to them, or ask the webmaster to remove your link.

Im impressed, I must say. Very rarely do I come across a site thats both informative and entertaining, and let me tell you, youve hit the nail on the head. Your site is important; the issue is something that not enough people are talking intelligently about. Im really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this issue.

well but what about SPAM, adult and link selling sites?

Bad Neighborhoods is that kind of Neighborhoods who are not come forward in accident of neighbors.It's always my pleasure to read this type of stuff.I am very much interested in these types of topics from childhood and it's my habit to read this.
