This is how search engine referrals to my site breaks down over the past 12 months. With the new Yahoo search, this past month MSN has passed Yahoo and both are now at ~9%: My main page has had a PR5 for all this time, other pages are mostly PR4.

This is all down to the fact that fewer and fewer people are using Yahoo daily, you can't get traffic if nobody is searching using their search engine.....

Instead of focusing on just one search engine, try a couple of them.
Your traffic will maximised if you consistently get some traffic from each of them.

Google has all the cards right now. Consider expanding to more keywords rather than more search engines.

Many webmasters have already reported that when they ranked and getting traffic from google, they get poor traffic from yahoo.. and vice versa. Google and Yahoo algo might be opposite in ranking, other strategy to get traffic from both is to avail the sponsored listing on the other one that the site is not well ranked.

While google filters for those quality backlink to determine your PR, Yahoo seems to count all the links in bundle.

Yes, agreeable and commendable that Google has more visitors than Yahoo. This is an implication that Google is now leading as the best search engine.
