See if you can consistently follow these steps for link building

step--1: maintaining a blog with link to your site

Step-2: replying / passing coments on topics relevant to your web site in other blogs

Step-3: writing and publishing articles/ press releases on popular article and news sites.

Step-4: Participate in forums by posting and replying to threads

Step-5: optimizing, updating your site time to time

If You want to Maintain Your website Ranking Then You have to Update it after Some Period but try to put more Effective Contain on Your Website.If You put Bad quality Contain n Your Website then You loss the rank.You must have to Continue some SEO work Still.

For maintaining good ranking you must continue your off page jobs in a positive way. Don't stop working on keywords for that you've already achieved good ranking. Try to get backlinks from different sources as well. Update your site content/meta data at least once in a month. Regular monitoring your keywords position in search engines is very important.

I am doing same thing but now a days has been lost my yahoo ranking ...so could suggest me what can i do..so that i can get and also maintain my site ranking...in yahoo and google search engine.

I am agree to get first position and to maintain the keyword position ranking both are different things. I am always suggesting to all to don't stop to build and promoting even you are at first Position.

To maintain the ranking, you just cannot stop your link building.
