why does my website rate higher on google than on bing

My website ranks higher on bing than google byt about 40 places, why is that,

I have the same issue with my website but the other way around. On Google I rank in 5th place and on Bing 40+.
How do I get my site being up on Bing - and yahoo for that matter?

Bing and Google have different algorithms so don't expect to get the same ranking on both search engines. Focus on Google instead because you can generate more traffic in it than Bing.

Because Bing's crawling ratio is very less as compare to Google. Bing does not crawl each and every page like Google.

Same way check your site ranking in Yahoo. You find your site ranking is higher than Google because same thing is related here. Yahoo crawling ratio is higher than Google and Yahoo show you more backlinks as compare to Google.

Everyone already pointed out their views about your problem. It just simply have different rankings because every search engines have very different algorithms. Although, there are some buzz that Bing is copying their way of providing search results, maybe you heard of it.

Why do you bother about bing SERP ? Concentrate on Google results because majority of the traffic your website will get from google than from bing.

I think its due to the high quality traffic.ie, visitors who view more pages stay longer on your wesite and most significantly,do not leave your website without visiting a single page.also bing is in partnership with yahoo.yahoo drives enormous traffic to its sites

Well, it's normal since Google and Bing is different search engines. Both SE's have a different algorithm. So, the result ranking is different as well.
