If a search engine big or small gives you the desired traffic, it's good enough.
But it is widely known that Google gives greatest traffic and till small time search engine grow Google will continue to dominate the arena.

If your get good traffic from Ask, that's good. Now, try to get ranking on google or yahoo, you'll see so much difference.

I have some visitors coming from ask.com but not that much. I got more traffic on google. I guess you should target more on google traffic to get a lot of real traffic.

As compared to Google, Ask have a smaller percentage of people using it. This complements to the amount of traffic it gets, and how much traffic you can get if your site is listed there. To get the most traffic for your sites, it is best to submit your sites to all the major search engines and of course to not forget about other localized search engine as well.

To be blunt, Ask.com is pure dung. A huge marketing push for a network riddled with fraud, no CS, and a poor interface.
