Getting listed in the ALEXA Directory
Does any one know how to get your site listed in the alexa.com directory.
have been looking at all the sites listed in there but there is nothing to tell you how to add your own site.

Re: Getting listed in the ALEXA Directory
Alexa uses the Dmoz RDF data dump for its directory. Go to the Alexa directory and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and you'll see the required Dmoz attribution. So, in order to get listed in Alexa one needs to first get listed in the Dmoz directory.andy woolfe wrote:Does any one know how to get your site listed in the alexa.com directory.

Okay, maybe this will help. Here's a link to the Alexa DIRECTORY, which the original poster was referring to. Now show me where your site is withinStig wrote:I disagree with you.Kammie wrote:The OP is asking about the Alexa directory and not the Alexa search engine; they're not one in the same. You don't need to be in the Dmoz directory to get crawled by the Alexa search engine, but you do need to be included in the Dmoz directory in order to be included in the Alexa directory.
My link directory - www.link-directory.us is not included in dmoz, same with www.norlinks.com Both has nice Alexa rankings.
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traff ... rlinks.com
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traff ... p?list=top
That was Alexa and now the dmoz:
http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?s ... rlinks.com
Nothing in dmoz for norlinks.com
http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?s ... rectory.us
Nothing in dmoz for Link-directory.us
So you see, you dont have to be in dmoz to rank in Alexa
