There are so many good directories it is hard to say which ones are really the best. I prefer older directories since they seem to be a little more established.

However most of them are not free! If the directories are fee to submit then its page rank is not good!

The best directories are the old established ones like Yahoo and Dmoz, but you wont get much traffic from them specialised directories may bring in more traffic than the bigger ones.
