TrackBack is a type of linkback. It is designed to send notification of updates between two sites via a trackback ping. :) You can generate traffic from it.

It is a type of linkback system designed to send notification of updates between two Web sites by means of a Trackback Ping.

Trackback Ping is a small message sent from one Web server to another.

It lets u know when other sites have linked to you and vice versa.
