Hello guys

I think the recommended amount of keywords with in a document changes, I used to base mine around 5 percent or morer, however regular searches have shown the leading results for a select few of my kws have around 2 % density.

I know this is only part of being ranked however its still important. What do most of you guys would use?
Please Suggest.

Thanks

Katie

Keyword density is the percentage of keyword is of the total amount of keywords. I used this tool to check the keyword density http://www.ranks.nl/tools/spider.html. They said that the required percentage is 2-4%, Beside density, we check also the keyword prominence is the important factor in keyword placement that is about 70 to 85%.

putting your keyword in natural way is the best thing to do right now... before,, measuring your keyword helps,, but for now,, it's not

Write your content naturally. Don't get too concerned about the keyword density. They say it's just a myth.

5 to 7 percent is ideal but naturally putting keywords are the best.

Usually below 5% is OK, but make sure your keyword is included into the page's title.

I think keyword density can be between 5 to 7%. I have seen webmasters looking for 80% keyword balancing(8% keyword density). Still they do not use a single keyword but use couple of them. In total they make it 8% keyword density.

I prefer between 7 to 12 percent keywords density.

I also think that a good technique with building keywords is to insert it after writing your content rather than relying to them for your content. That way, the article doesn't lose value and quality isn't sacrificed.

Great info thanks a lot mate really helpful!...

For some reason I've always had 7% in my head. I believe I've read that somewhere.

Keyword density is not that important. You can still rank even if you only cite your target keyword once in the entire article. It boils down to the quality of the content.
