Will PR 5 blog help my site to achieve high PR?

Post by beamup »

Hello

I got this offer from a PR 5 blog website and it is related to my site
He offered me to put an image add ( Size A 350 X 40 ) on the every posts he made. And He do have lots of posts in the blog, I have seen it.

He offered me US $ 115 per month. Is it worth to take that deal?
Is there any chance that this could help on my PR. Has any 1 has been in this situation?

Please suggest what do you think.

Yeah, linking with a high PR blog will boost your pagerank. Text link is more ideal than banner link. Aside from that, make sure that the blog generates enough traffic. That would benefit your site tremendously.

I agree with the rest of people here. Text link is much preferred. It all comes down to the use of "anchor text". Surely, a PR5 backlink will have an effect on your PR.

While a text link would certainly be better, I would suggest being careful about a set-up where your link is displayed sitewide. That's a footprint that Google uses when looking for paid text links. Note that not everyone get penalized for doing this, but it is a risk. You might be better off having the webmaster place a single test link on his homepage and forgo the sitewide links.

Yes it would help you if it is dofollow. You are sure of getting nothing less than a PR 1.

off course yes it does help you to get pr juice from that blog , but if that blog is relevant to your site's niche then it will help a lot ... but make sure you are suing that link with desired anchor text

how to increase PR:

You can increase the page rank of your blog by:

* Updating the content of your site as often as possible. Quality content is important.
* Gathering relevant backlinks. PR depends upon the back links on your site.
* Participate in forums

Page rank is the measure of total number of inbound links to a site. So content really does not play any role in updating PR.

However, if you want to top google first page, you must have some good and updated content.

The "value" of that inbound link though is difficult to guess. The more outbound links that site has, the less value you'll get from the inbound link.

I use a formula of pagerank / number of outbound links to assign a "value" to the link. Hard to know if my estimation of value correlates well with google's estimation of value, but at least it gives me some way to compare links from sites.

Site wide contextual links are best. I don't do banner ads.

If you are looking for backlinks from the site, then it's recommended to link using anchor text.
