How do i gain PR < it seems that links are not enough

I have 300+ back link but still I dont have Google importance even 1 while 1 of my colleague having only 3 back link but he has PR 1. can you discuss it further?

Once that your site was crawled by Google and having PR-0, the backlink will appear into the Google. But if it doesn't PR, it doesn't show.

Quality backlinks are the king. Your content is very very important. Google will estimate whether you are providing quality content to the visitors.

Don't worry about Page Rank. Worry about SERPs or position for your targeted keywords. There are plenty of misguided sites with PR5 and no traffic vs. PR2 and 3 who focus on word search rankings vs. the cosmetic Google PR. Links and contents, every day.

Are those from forum posting and blog commenting? You may want to focus on sending people to your site as well. You can use social media for it.

if you're using Google Analytics on your website, take it off - it feeds the PR checker with information on your levels of traffic and bounce rate (important)

300 backlink are not so many, and quality is even more important.
I don think caring so much about PR is helpful. You need to pay your attention to your content and traffic.

you got more back links, I think those are not quality, google counts only quality links, you can build quality links.

I think to gain a page rank your site must be live for some months together with good contents and backlinks as well.

I want to get PR 3 for my website, I think domain age decide level 1, get level 2,3 you need a Linkbuilding campaign, focus in quality backlinks more than quantity.

PR is all about links, gather more links and PR will follow.

Yes, only having backlinks are not enough to increase your PR. You have to focus on quality not quantity if you have 10 quality backlinks then they are much better than 20 simple backlinks.
So try to have quality backlinks.

If you want to increase your PR you must have some good quality backlinks. I don't understand why are you so concerned about your site's Page Rank. You should care more about having good quality content and bringing visitors to your site.This way your site's SERP will improve and that's is really important.
