It depends if you are in the start of your SEO journey or you already startet.
If you are new and you dont have any backlinks yet from referring domains you need to figure out if you are out of "sandbox mode" first. Sandbox is where all the "baby" websites / new domains are. It means if you are a new domain, you dont have much to offer in Google's eyes, and therefor you wont get full "linkjuice" out of your linkbuilding https://seo-service.dk/linkbuilding/
. If you are new, first of all be sure to have optimized everything onpage first, afterwards you want to go make all your social platform first, so make Google my business, Facebook, Twitter, Google plus. This is because normally when you start a new company, you want to share something social first to get brand reg. After you made all your socials, go make some content, blogs and what so ever, and share that on your socials, and try to get some social signals towards your site. This will show Google that suddenly someone is actually "talking" about this new website out in the edge of the internet, and there are someone interested in your site. This way Google automaticly will put you into "University stage" and this means that you have something to offer and people might be interested in your content. So now you are able to make links towards your site. And instead of waiting 3 months before sandbox goes away manually, you skipped it in 1 month. So what you wanna do now, is go for brand links.
So your anchor phrases are linked though your brandname towards your frontpage. Also you want to build a few links towards your social sites, the first couple of months (remember SEO is a long journey
). After 3 months when SEO done correctly and you chose your right low hanging fruit keywords, you should have around 100-300 monthly visitors. From here you need to make a linkbuilding strategy. What i recommend, is not spamming your site with links from at start, cause that will give you a manual punishment from Google, and then you drop in SERPS. The first week you wanna go to 2 links, both with brand anchor towards your frontpage, the next month you will do 1 link to your main keyword page, with the exact anchor text. The next week you go with 2 links to frontpage again, brand anchor, and 1 link towards your main keyword page, with generic keyword, so instead of mainkeyword the anchor should be "cheap mainkeyword" or "buy mainkeyword". The next week go for only 1 link again, towards either frontpage, or inner page on another keyword than your main keyword, you chose this by looking at your keywords and see if you dropped in SERPS. This you repeat untill you have around 75% branded achor links, and then you will be able to link towards your innerpages as long as you have a anchor ratio that looks like this. Linkbuilding anchor ratio
* Naked URL's (domain.com) - 15%
* Branded Anchors (brand name) - 75%
* Generic Anchors (any generic word) - 5%
* Partial Match/LSI Anchors (different variations of my main keywords - KeywordShitter is a great tool for this) - 3%
* Exact Anchors (main money keywords) - approx 2%
When you reach 600-1000 monthly visitors, you should double up your links, so instead of doing 2 links the first week, you do 4 links, and so on. Just scale up and remember to keep the anchor ratio. Also when you do links, remember to go for 30-40 % nofollow and 60-70% dofollow.
Hope this helped
