Does republishing the same article to different article sites lead to links and therefore increase SE ranking, (not looking PR juice).

Lets say I have 10 articles, I submit to 10 article site, does this lead to 100 links back to my site?

By (spun), do you mean make changes to the articles in order for them to appear different? i.e with the use of a thesaurus? Same meaning different wording?
