There many ways through that you can increase inbound links. We are discussing some of them ,
1. Get the Good Page Rank and Search Ranking in all three search engines Google, Yahoo and Bing.
2. Request to webmasters for the reciprocal link building.
3. Submit your website on free web directories.
Remember one thing your inbound link should be below to your outbound links.

Getting maximum number of links is not enough to improve the page rank,instead getting do follow back links from high pr sites is important.

The links which is pointing to your web site which very relevant and contextual.it called inbound links.but it has to be very contextual and relevant to your product if service provider.
