There are many social bookmarking sites but the top three I frequently used are propeller,digg,reddit and blinklist. If you are after for many bookmarking sites, try socialmarker.

Social bookmarking only help for promoting a sites, not for getting a traffic.

I know I came with a little bit late, but they are a lot of services that bookmark your site for a cheap price. They are hundreds good sites to bookmark right now and is a little bit boring to make accounts on every single one. Just do a google search for *bookmarking services*.
However, take in mind that this will build a good position on google in terms of back-links, but will not get you direct traffic (google will do after a while)
