The combined effort of multiple webmasters to change the Google search results usually for humorous effect. The “miserable failure” – George Bush, and “greatest living American” – Steven Colbert Google bombs are famous examples.

It can also be called ‘link bomb’ since it is the method to influence the ranking of a Google page on certain specific words. The most famous incidence of this method was when 32 webmasters placed the text ‘miserable failure’ on their sites with a link to George Bush’s autobiography page. These links raised George Bush’s site on the top position in Google when searching by ‘miserable failure’.

"Google bombs" are collective efforts to link to a site by a key phrase and artificially elevate a Web site in the Google search results for that search phrase. Google bombs rely heavily on the influence of PageRank. Some Google bombs are politically motivated, while others are done as pranks, and some may have been motivated by ego or self promotion.

Google Bomb similar to an SEO practices on Google & internet years ago where you can easily make page rank in particular keyword with spamming. It is link & anchor text around any random sites, then over stuffing the keyword on that page. Google already taken control of this type of practice.
