Link density is the term used to refer to how many sites link to your site.By creating a link to the home page on every subpage within your page, you emphasize the importance of the home page.

Hi guinanie,
Keyword density is the percentage of words on a web page that match a specified set of keywords. Is anything there like keyword cloud related to link density...
Let me have detailed explanation.

Keywords density
Usually people use keywords density analizers to optimize websites.
These tools provide the following information:
How may of your keywords are in meta title, meta desctiption, meta keywords, headers, alt tags, hyperlinks, first words, all body words.
You should not over stuff those things with your keywords to keep normal density. For example, in all meta things your keywords should be mentioned once or twice, Different keywords within different headers and alt codes should be mentioned. for example, 3, 4, 5 times. Within hyperlinks as much as possible, First words are very important, so you should try to use your major keywords there, but try to make user friendly text with your keywords.
Hope it helps.
Have a great day,
Peter
