Page Rank Update?

This has been the longest time I can remember Google taking for updating page rank. Does anyone have insite or a theory? Does the long delay mean that there's some big algo change coming?

Usually you can predict the page rank update and be within a few weeks of the actual start, but this is well beyond the prediction.

PR means nothing to me, it’s backlink updates and serp

According to my anlaysis from this update was backlink not PR update. I have seen backlink update very quick. So why PR taking so long. I think next update will be pr update.
Could be i am wrong. Its only guess

I think due to huge load of data and tremendous newly uploaded millions of website Google will take some more time!

Could it be that Google symply doen't know what to do with PR? May be Google currently considering something else, more important than PR, instead? This is my guess.

I don't think PR is very important for SEPRs if target right words! I have seen some sites they don't have good PR but ranked well in SERPs and some sites with good PR but less ranking!
