does domain forwarding affect ranking?

experts,
can you tell if a domain forwarding affects the google ranking?
for example i have domain www.bnbvietnam.com pr3 redirects to my www.vietnamimpressive.com pr 4 every time users click on www.bnbvietnam.com. is there any bad effect? if yes, i wont do that.

yes ranking might be down for some time but it will regain if you continue promotion.

Yes, there were changes in your ranking after the redirection. Just continue to promote and build more links to regain your ranking.

Indeed, a redirection will affect your current rankings so to regain your rankings and if the changes that you made is seo friendly then you can do better than your previous ranks.

If done properly (301) and the destination website has the same content you will be fine

That is correct, a 301 Redirect will preserve search engine rankings.

Yes Ranking is effect + I think PR also effect as much as.

I don't think the redirection that you have now is a 301 redirect.

Yahoo penalized all 301 redirection.

From what I here it effects PR a little short term but regains, but shouldnt effect your rankings on the domain its redirected to, the other will only rank well for the redirected domains keywords.

Same as the posts above, if you can just keep on getting links to your sites, pr might increase more. But just do it properly as it will be no harm if properly done.
