Reduce the number of plugins you use on your site.
Reduce the number of number of audio and video files on your website as they unnecessarily puts a stress on your server and the user if he/she is running on a low-network connection.
Enable compression (such as Compressing resources with gzip or deflate can reduce the number of bytes sent over the network).
