Is it ok to use the same meta description as title tag in a website?

For mine, I use keywords in both.
I do not use the same description as title, because it is too long. Search Engines dont read after a certain title length. (varies and depends on SE)
dont use the same keywords more than twice in title and metatags.

Let's say the title of a page is CNC machining, manufacturing engineering
Then I would go in the Meta description:
"CNC machining of mechanical components manufacturing parts engineering"
Just to be a bit different and add keywords that will also be use on the site. The title should be short and descriptive using keywords one would use in the in the text as well.
