Big problem

Post by realtor »

I woke up this morning to happily find one of my sites had moved up to the 5th position on the 1st page of G for my #1 keyword. It stayed there until about 11 AM and then it moved back to where it was in the 8th position on the 1st page. NOW IT IS ON THE 6th page!!!!! What happened??? It has been on the 1st page for almost 2 weeks and I started SEOing it just over 3 weeks ago.

There are times when google dances, if it stays long on the 8th position then maybe it was its real position not the fifth one, because its pretty hard for working around for only 3 weeks and you jumped down going to the fifth position, but only if you had less competitors with your keyword..

I've given up trying to track exactly where my site will end up. It's completely disappeared at times only to come back and stay.

Google ranking fluctuates; it's a common thing. What you need to do is allot more time in your linkbuilding activities to maintain the ranking of your site.

If its still quite a new site its not uncommon for this to happen, you just need to keep plodding away at seo even though its a bit disheartening it just shows your site is on the right track.

The position in the search results is not constant. All your competitors also make SEO.

These days, google seems to change quickly, no one figured out google's algorithm, and also with a lot of people working out to gain the first spot in google its no wonder that our SERP changes quickly.

I made it back to Page one on Monday....Today it went up to 4th position for a bit....Now it is on the 2nd page. That is not near as bad as last friday when it was wayyy off the charts. There must be something about Fridays that make this happen. Anybody else have this experience?
