Do you have a sitemap.xml and robots.txt? If not then create and add them. There are many tools to assist in this.

Once your sitemap.xml is in place, register it at Google Webmaster Tools. Then wait for Google to show that they have indexed the site, and once this is done go into their Diagnostics section and see what problems Google has identified.

How long have you been optimizing your site? It takes time before you see the actual result or fruit of your labor. Just continue on building quality links for your site through forum posting, social bookmarking, etc.

definitely register the site with google webmaster tools, then you can diagnose whether the site is being properly indexed etc.

I believe that since alot of my site is made up of subdomains, that somehow google and yahoo are disregarding my pages? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Your rankings depend on competition. You may have done all the right things, but if your competitors are doing a better job, their sites will rank better than yours.

You may want to consult with an SEO company first or get an audit of your site. Having an experienced professional take a look of your SEO can save you a lot of time and money down the road.
