Can Google Index Internal Search Strings?

Postby Nurberk » Mon Dec 18, 2006 10:05 am

Sometimes I use search strings as links to my products.
For example: ... =&sort_by=

This is the link that's generated when someone searches for clocks on my site. Since the results are good, I'll use that as a link on the front page to my clocks listings.

Any chance of seeing that URL showing up in Google, or any search engine?

That link redirects to your main page...but generally if you use 3 paramateres or less they can be read (Parameters are question marks and equal signs). However, if yuor pages are too much alike then they may end up in supplimental results.
