HTML Validation

Post by Markl88 »

Does HTML validation on my site matter for SEO? I am using a HTML validation and I am getting errors. When I use the validation (TIDY) it cleans the HTML and screws up the formatting and it doesn't look the same. Any thoughts?

I don't think that HTML validation on your site matters for SEO purposes. HTML validation helps to find broken links and other errors in the code. HTML validation makes it easier for search engines to go through your site, and the result is a higher search ranking.

It does not really matter for SEO purposes

One of my sites have over 3000 keywords and phrases in the top 10
with lots of errors after I ran Wc3 validator

Another on have over 2000 different keywords in top 10 with errrors in html

My latest site how to make a website have no errors after I ran the validator but rank high in the major search engines for a very competitive keyword phrase

Yes, validation matters. Good html write-up is the cause of a fast loading site! I have zero errors on my fast sites.

I doupt that it would be part of the calculation. The ranking page of google was full of html errors, and i've visited many authority site containing errors. In my opinion the validation fever is only the part of the maximalism.

I don't think that a couple of validation errors can effect your SEO.

I have lots of websites that have errors when validated, but I still have 1000s of keywords in the top 10 in the major search engines SERPs
