Re: How Much Domain Age Matter In Ranking?
Google looks at the domain age just because if you’re up there for a long time, that must probably mean you’re publishing quality content. It only means that your site is up because of a reason and you’re not just any spam sites that go up and then disappear from the radar.

It is a factor. In general, It is easier to rank for a keyword on an older domain name than a newer domain name if all things being equal. However, great content and the ability to generate inbound links and etc will win in the long run.

Domain age has some effect on the SEO ranking but not that much that it should worry you.Google prefers older domains because of the trust and credibility they have gained over the years.
However, you don’t need an old domain to rank high in SERPs.You can rank high in Google even with new domains.

Re: How Much Domain Age Matter In Ranking?
In all reality, it is all about the amount of time in which Google first indexed, or sighted a link to said “aged” domain. An Aged domain has been indexed by Google for say 5+ years. You'll notice that the highest ranking sites have been around for a long time. For example, Amazon, Apple, Apartments.com, etc.
