There is nothing you can do but wait. Google is not counting any new links for about 6 months due to Sandbox algorithm. Sandbox is not only for new sites, it's for new links.
Plus don't pay attention to PageRank you see on display, because it is always about 3 months behind from the real PR that Google sees. The display PR gets updated once in every 3 months. Your real PR might already be more.

Also, don't focus on PR too much, what you want is traffic not PR.
PR used to be king a couple of years ago, but it is not as important as before.

I agree with Bidera. Don't focus so much attention on page ranks. What is more important is getting visitors to your site that will purchase your product, support your ideas, etc. Google's page ranking doesn't mean a thing to me personally. If I buy something online, I don't judge the quality of a site from their page rank. It all comes down to the product they offer and the price.

Don't assume though that backlinks aren't important... their just as important for ranking as the actual text on your pages. But, PR does not mean high ranking... only an indicator of the links into your site. Work on backlinks from related websites with good anchor text... your PR will rise in relation but serps will benefit little unless all is relevant.

Like everyone says, page rank is not really important. At best it was only ever an indication, but now its not even that.
What you need to monitor is how you are performing in the listings for your keywords. If you work hard at building relevant content and quality incoming links you will find that your position in the engines will start to improve, which in turn will increase traffic. Thats whats important.

Hi!
I suggest you promote your blog through back links. It can be done through blog commenting, joining high ranking forums, link exchange, and directory submissions. Most importantly, you have to make sure you provide your visitors with fresh and unique content in your site, which are SEO optimized. Or you can always consider asking help from highly skilled people in this area. Take advantage of social media as well. Good luck!
