Is Submitting Articles a Waste of Time?

Post by dsouza »

Huy guys and gals - can you all tell me your opinion. Is writing and submitting articles to hundreds of article directories a waste of time? I have been writng a few travel articles and submitting them to try to boost my visitors and backlinks but now seem to have got into problems with Google supplemental results even some new original content I have written for my site (and not published elsewhere) has been dumped into the supplementals. I have studied some of the people who submit hundreds of articles (top authors on the article sites) to hundreds of sites (they must use some submission software as they have tens of thousands of articles published)and I have checked the backlinks to their websites and they don't seem to have any (or at least very few), so what are all those articles achieving? I am now writing separate articles for submitting and considering only posting them on one top site so at least I get one decent link, but then of course others use the article and it becomes duplicate content once again.

Hi,

I don't think writing and posting articles to quality article directories is useless, I got good number of visitors thru article posting...

Try the same with only quality directories...

all the best...

I guess, submitting article is a good thing.
But we probably have to be selective where to submit them. It should be quality article site. I mean with a good ranking and without "nofollow" tags, otherwise the search engines will not follow your links. IMO

Article submission can help drive traffic to your site and it can create a one way link to your site. Article submission also build your credibility as a source of information, because you are showing the readers, through your articles, that you are knowledgeable about the particular topic discussed

Submitting articles to high PR directories gives more value rather than submitting it everywhere. Make sure that you focus on how much you are getting rather than its volume

I've also ask this question before..submitting articles consume a lot of time but still not a waste of time because you're leaving your website url on it so it means backlink is what you get in submitting articles.

not really, time-consuming yes but not waste of time because some article submission sites are adsense-sharing sites, meaning they share their adsense earnings plus it produce organic traffic for your site

writing and submitting an article is a very good seo strategy. Submitting an article is not a daily requirement. Once every month will be ok, IMHO. Although it is time-consuming, AS is very helpful because it gives boost to the number of site visitors. :D
