Help: How to increase IBL?

I'm definitely confused how my backlinks dropping down for about hundreds and I need some help how to boost up my backlinks or to maintain it. I need your thoughts about it.

directory submission, social bookmarking and forum posting gives your site backlinks. In forum posting select forums thats related to your site.

My problem is I don't know what search engines crawl? I've done SEO things and it's still dropping and dropping.

Of course we wouldn't know. But I suggest you keep on working and continue your link building strategies. It will improve soon.

Agree, In choosing forums, make sure that it has a do follow link. In addition to above strategies, blog commenting is also a great source of fruitful links.

Link building and only link building can help you to get backlinks.

don't stop link building...
SEOing a website will take long time to gain popularity and PR...
so if you stop your link building your PR might drop down....

There is a drop of backlinks in Google maybe because they just want to limit or want to filter the unrelated links. The best things you do is to get link with a do follow links and hope it will work for your site.

Do the basics of SEO such as Blog Comments, Forums Posting, Social Bookmarking, Article Submission, Classified Ads Posting..It would be great if all that are Do Follows..because do follows are considered backlinks

Just continue on directory submission, article submission and also continue submission on social bookmarking sites and try content building maybe it may help you.

Does your previous links still there and just didn't getting indexed? Check you backlinks on Yahoo Siteexplorer to see if they are still existing or not. Bookmark your backlinks so they will indexed too.
