Actually we have two types of links. Those are
No-Follow Link
Do-Follow Link

No-Follow Link:These are the back links where there is no direct reference to your site,in other words the URL is encrypted here.
Do-Follow Link:These are the back links in which there is direct reference to your site.

Do follow Back links is the most powerful way to influence search engines to redirect a lot of traffic to your site. Search engine crawlers crawl the whole content on your webpage including images, links, keywords etc.

No follow links can be relevant to your post’s context and can come from the sources which have a potential to generate high referral traffic.

DoFollow links are links that count as points, boosting the page rank, helping them go higher in the SERPs as a result. While NoFollow links are links that doesn't count as points, doesn't boost page rank and doesn't help a page in the SERP. So, DoFollow links are very helpful in effective SEO and SMO techniques.

Both Dofollow and Nofollow links are followed by human but, Google follows only Dofollow links. Means to say, Nofollow links are not harmful for business but, these links don't play any role in online promotion.

you often prepare dofollow links rather than nofollow, its somewhat good to promote your rankings better.
