I have a few tips to get better SEO in 2014

1. First make your website in wordpress because its take less time and easily manageable. A wordpress site can be ranked easily on Google or Bing

2. Use SEO Yoast plugin to choose better keywords. Use some other plugins like W3 total chache, Smushit and etc

3. Use CloudFlare to speed up your website and it will easily rank on google or bing

4. Use article submission, press release, Wikipedia, you-tube and social media for High dofollow backlinks. It is the most important part of off-page-SEO.

5. I have thousands of tips to rank your site for long run

You can do same as you do in previous year nothing will be changed but focus on quality links.

You need to be very focussed on a qulaity website first and foremost.
If your on [age SEO is non exisitant, well all off page SEO efforts will be in vain.

Your site needs to be user fiendly in terms of easy to navigate and loaded with relevant, qulaity content.
By making sure you have these very basic things in place (to name but a few) your site will also be search engine friendly.

You need to look up "important on page SEO for 2014" using Google's page speed insights is also a good (free) indicator if your site is search engine friendly and thus user friendly.

Then, your mission is to keep it that way, updated, fresh and friendly!
That should be your primary area of focus. Then back link, as they too are important.

For back links, its defiantly quality over quantity!
Integrating a blog in your site and using social media to promote and share unique content relating to your products and services is a great way to create quality high PR back links. Blog posting and forums are also excellent.

Keeping your SEO relevant for 2014 and 2015 , you need to create links with avoiding exact keywords , and make your website mobile friendly is necessary and build do follow as well as no follow for the better citation value and get higher rank .

You can use previous concepts even but you only need to make sure you are following rules and regulations of google. Otherwise, there is a risk to get penalized.
