Not sure about point 5. there are some search engines you need to submit to. I would agree with the term 'submitting' but what about at least submit once - just to be sure!

Great article! I don't submit my link to search engines either. Really the only search engine I'm concerned with is Google. And there is no need to submit to Google if you know about SEO.
