hi to all SE. I just want to know how long does an SEO optimize a website? Is it possible to rank the site in the top page of the search engine in a minimal time? example a duration of 1 month optimization?

It depends on your keyword target, if you had lots of competitors then your chances will be low.

depends on a lot of thing. who the seo is, how many keywords. etc

It really depends on which keywords you are targeting, what niche you are in, and the amount of competition there is. Sometimes you can go to the first page in a couple of weeks or so, and sometimes it can take months or even years.

Absolutely right Brandon! It depends upon the keywords but the thing is that they should be right keywords. You need to continue targeting the keywords constantly until they come in better postion because some keywords take long period.

SEO is a continues process and if you want work on you keywords it 2 -3 months it depends on how competitive your keywords is.

It will always depend in everything. You need to consider the competition and the keywords you are targeting. And of course, it will differ on how you optimize or work hard for your site.

Its based on the Keywords u r tar getting. ANy how what ever the case at least will take 3 months

Depending on the target keywords and competition, it usually takes 5-6 months.

So I feel a bit disappointed. I hired a local SEO who compromised to set in Google top 10 a total of 12 keywords in 10-12 months! Price is relatively cheap: around $125 per keyword. Was I scammed?

I've been working at it for a couple of regional sites and I am on the fist page of results for these sites after only 3 weeks. But I have been working at it for on average 8 hours a day + my regular Magager & Real Estate job! I find it kinda fun!

We have seen 1st page results in as quick as 1 month. It depends, of course, on your choice of keywords. Very competitive keywords will take longer, but realistic long-tail keywords can achieve top rankings in shorter timeframes, and they convert much better.
