In this Recession time, everything is affecting by recession. So what about SEO service?

As of the moment, I haven't really felt the big impact of the global recession. But many companies and advertisers these days have reduced their expenses in seo and online marketing. My earnings in Adsense have slightly decreased.

Smaller Companies that aren't mainly focused online are spending less on SEO at the moment, but the big companies have to keep up their presence as its a big part of their income.

I think SEO work will increase during recession. Because many companies want to optimize the internet business.

I think that most businesses would lean onto SEO services for promotion because of the recession. Even small offline businesses are now setting up their own websites.

now SEO little bit tough.. all are trying to reach in the top ... all companies are checking in Google and spending some amount to beat Google... so after a while will be very hard to reach in the top..

Although I'm new to this forum, I'm not new to SEO. My SEO business has actually increased in the current economy, especially in the retail market. I've taken on a number of retail based clients who are migrating from a brick and mortar store to an ecommerce store to reduce the overhead and try to stay profitable.
My experience has been that a good SEO/SEM person can do well in this economy if they are effective. Just my .02 cents on this topic.
