If you find a site or forum with a high ranking to post your link on, that would be a big help to make your indexing faster. IMO

Actually I've found an easier/faster way to get listed... its to get a link on a related website preferably the home page. You do this by using one of your own sites that is already index, just stick a link to your new website and once it gets listed you can take the link down. It's an interesting trick I saw some other SEOs using.

Create XML sitemap and submit it to the SE and also you can get your site faster indexed by generating backlinks from sites that are frequently indexed. This way when the search engines index those sites they will in turn index your site as well.
