I am using Word Tracker Free version regularly to find out Seaches for a particular Keyword.
This tool extract data from meta Search Engines and does not show up the actual seaches.Generally it shows some percentage of actual searches, say 1% of the total U.S. Searches.
So, can we count every single search of WordTracker as 100 to find out the actual searches perfomed ?
I want to know how wordtracker can be used to find Actual number of searches for a particular region.

Here is the answer that i have recieved from Customer Service
,Wordtracker just right now.
Every day, on average, we collect about 1.8 million search terms from Dogpile.com and Metacrawler.com (accounts for 0.63% of searches across all engines). By combining these two figures, we estimate that the total daily searches across all engines is 453.2 million searches.
So for a keyword that has been searched for 9,000 times in our database (over our sample for the last 160 days), this is the number of daily searches that we predict for that keyword:
9,000
------------- x 453.2 million * = 14,286 daily predicted searches
285.5 million
Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyy

The information is just to be used as a guide its not 100% accurate but does provide you with a very clear picture of which are the most popular keywords and how much competition each one has.

I no longer use Wordtracker. Google keyword suggestion tool is more accurate!

^ Yeah. It's a wiser idea to make your keyword selection using Google keyword tool. It shows comprehensive keyword suggestions with accurate search volume. Wordtracker is crap.
